I started making movies when I was eleven, shooting on Super8 and writing screenplays on an old Remington manual typewriter.
Every one of my stories back then contained characters my own age. Characters set in a science fiction or supernatural backdrop. They faced high stakes problems, challenges and puzzles that they resolved without adult interference.
I was no doubt influenced by TV and cinematic sci-fi and adventure stories.
At the time, I thought they were pretty good stories. But in hindsight, it's probably best for everyone that none survived the passage of time.
Decades later, I'm still making movies. The difference is a lifetime of experience.
In the intervening years I have worked both sides of the camera in film and television.
I strive to now bring this knowledge to the page to create visually impactful, character driven stories.
